MEET OUR PHYSICIAN RYAN FORBESS, MD

Ryan Forbess grew up in McKenzie, Tennessee, and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee. He began his career as a mental health specialist at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2000. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for family medical care, leading him to pursue his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman. Dr. Forbess has a keen interest in cellular health and its impact on overall wellness. 

He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Oklahoma, where he distinguished himself as the chief resident of his program. Additionally, Dr. Forbess has served as a professor in the Physician Assistant program at Bethel University. In 2015, he joined South Baldwin Medical Center, becoming the Chief of Medicine in 2016. Since then, he has been the sole attending physician at South Baldwin Medical Group’s clinic in Orange Beach, AL, focusing on innovative practices such as performance therapy and regenerative medicine. He decided to continue serving the Orange Beach community by opening his own practice in 2022.

Ryan Forbess enjoys surfing, SEC football, golf, traveling, hunting, boating, and fishing. He resides in Orange Beach with his wife, Toni, and their three children: Scarlett, Knox, and Reed, aged 7, 9, and 10. The couple was immediately drawn to Orange Beach after their first visit and decided to make it their forever home.
